1 Peter 3:8

thoughts.

‘1 Peter 3:8’ came out of a place of frustration for religion. i grew up in a christian household and slowly over time grew away from any sort of religion. i have a lot of problems with religion in general, but my most personal one is the topic of homosexuality. being a member of the LGBTQ+ community has been a big problem when it comes to finding any solace in the church. in turn i wanted to create a statement piece about my feelings toward their judgement by taking a photo of my family church and surrounding it with derogatory terms made toward members of the community, as well as bible verses that christians bring up that attack the homosexual agenda. in glitter i write over the photo to make my own stance against them, while simultaneously giving them a taste of their own medicine by highlighting a verse from the bible and crucifying the bible to the wall.
